Prism Bastion is a geometric tower-defense game about building attacks like programs. Instead of choosing a fixed weapon, you load modules into each tower from left to right. Projectiles, modifiers, targeting logic, trails, and triggers are compiled into a working attack sequence—and changing the order can completely change the result.

Guide piercing needles toward survivors, split burning projectiles across a crowd, bounce oversized blades through a lane, or deploy mines and persistent fields from nested triggers. Every tower is a small system to design, test, and refine while increasingly complex signals move toward the core.

Features

  • 36 combinable modules across projectiles, modifiers, static payloads, trails, and logic.
  • Order-driven construction: modules affect what comes after them, so sequencing is as important as selection.
  • Standard Mode with limited inventory, module drafts, wave rewards, tower upgrades, and economy management.
  • Creative Mode with unlimited modules and shards, adjustable run settings, and a signal-spawning console.
  • Five geometric sectors, including a guided opening mission and a multi-entrance route.
  • Five difficulty settings for relaxed experimentation or tightly optimized defenses.
  • Distinct signal mechanics including shields, splitting, armor, suppression auras, and mixed elite waves.
  • A local Defense Archive that records completed runs, statistics, discoveries, and achievements.
  • English and Simplified Chinese, with mouse, keyboard, and touch-friendly controls.

How to play

Choose a sector, mode, and difficulty, then deploy towers on the marked nodes. Open a tower's workshop and arrange modules into a valid sequence. Launch the next wave, study what gets through, and rebuild your programs around the threats ahead.

On desktop, drag modules into slots or double-click one for quick installation. On touch devices, tap to select or hold briefly and drag. Landscape orientation is recommended on mobile; supported browsers can enter fullscreen from the home screen.

Can you compile a defense strong enough to hold the Bastion?

Impressive amount of gameplay mechanics and player choice; so much I felt it was kind of overwhelming and started feeling more like playing a spreadsheet.  I like the ripple effect when hitting enemy turrets and the game at least feels very readable, though a bit plain.  It was very appealing that there is a good level of challenge to be had.

I've added animated explanations (the thought index) for each module after the jam is finished. I hope that will make it easier for ones to get start. If you're interested, please check out the latest development build on Github pages: https://szdytom.github.io/ntd/
